Introduction: Women's quality of sexual life is one of the critical issues in the field of sexual and reproductive health. This concept is subjective and based on the individual's perception of the sexual aspect of their life. The aim of this study is to predict the quality of life based on distress tolerance and resilience with the mediating role of mindfulness in postpartum women.
Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive-correlational study which done on 110 women who had referred to the comprehensive health centers of Urmia city (Iran) after giving birth in the first half of 2022 were selected as a sample using a random cluster sampling method and responded to the Women's Sexual Quality of Life Questionnaire, the Distress Tolerance Questionnaire, the Resilience Questionnaire, and the Mindfulness Scale. Structural equation modeling and SPSS V.23 and PLS V.3 software were used to fit the model and test the hypotheses.
Reuslts: Disturbance tolerance has a positive and significant effect on mindfulness (B=0.302, P≤0.001) and women's quality of sexual life (B=0.348, P≤0.001). Resilience also has a positive and significant effect on women's mindfulness (B=0.439, P≤0.004); however, resilience (B=0.102, P≥0.506) and mindfulness (B=0.202, P≥0.416) do not have a significant effect on women's quality of sexual life.
Conclusion: Disturbance tolerance affects the quality of women's sexual lives. Healthcare providers should help improve the quality of sexual life of this vulnerable group by paying attention to postpartum women's distress tolerance.
